Communications & Social Impact Workgroup
The workgroup crafts communication strategies to maximize scientific and societal benefit of CAL STAR research. The workgroup also builds the CAL STAR Network’s brand and online presence.
Education & Professional Training Workgroup
The workgroup is developing a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on stress, health and resilience, and a training program for researchers interested in toxic stress. The workgroup also creates learning opportunities for students who want deeper engagement with the network.
Social Justice, Equity, & Inclusion Workgroup
The workgroup provides guidance in recruitment and inclusion of underserved populations in both research and clinical capacities and creates equity benchmarks for the CAL STAR Network.
Community Partnerships Workgroup
The workgroup facilitates partnerships with community members and various other stakeholders throughout California. The workgroup also manages a listserv and spearheads other activities in order to support dissemination of research findings.
Science & Research Workgroup
The workgroup advises on the recruitment and research process and oversees the development, testing, and dissemination of the CAL STAR Intervention.
